The department of Peace, Conflict and Human Rights (PCHR) started its journey in 2014 with a vision to become globally recognized academic platform capable of making scholars and professionals in the contemporary field of peace, conflict and human rights. It is one of the oldest department of Bangladesh University of Professionals.

The department opened its Masters program on Peace, Conflict and Human Rights Studies (MPCHRS) in 2018 and the undergraduate program Bachelor of Social Science (Hon`s) in Peace, Conflict and Human Rights Studies (PCHRS) in 2022.
