PhD researcher Mohammad Moinul Hasnain delivered his inaugural proposal seminar titled “Global Aerospace Maintenance Repair & Overhaul Center in Bangladesh - Development of an Aerospace Industry to Boost Economic Security” at the Centre for Higher Studies and Research (CHSR) Seminar Hall.
The seminar was attended by a distinguished panel, including Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan, Pro-Vice Chancellor of Independent University Bangladesh (IUB), and Dr. SMG Yeazdani, Air Commodore (Retired), Bangladesh Air Force.
Mr. Hasnain’s research is supervised by Professor Sharif Mosharraf Hossain from the Department of Economics at Jagannath University. Co-supervision is provided by Group Captain Muhammed Kamrul Islam, Executive Director of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh, and Adjunct Faculty at BSMRAAU.
The seminar was also graced by the presence of several eminent academicians and professionals, including Dr. Khondoker Mokaddem Hossain, Pro-Vice Chancellor of Bangladesh University of Professionals; Brigadier General Mohammad Shahiduzzaman Khan, Dean of the Centre for Higher Studies and Research (CHSR); and Captain Mahbubur Rashid, Director of CHSR.
The core aspect of Mr. Hasnain's proposal involves the establishment of a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) center in Bangladesh, aiming to position the nation as a significant entity within the global aerospace industry. This strategic initiative is expected to enhance the country's economic security and stimulate industrial growth.
