Seminar on “Bangladeshi Writing in English”:    A seminar titled “Bangladeshi Writing in English” was arranged on March 21, 2024, by the Department of English, BUP, at Bijoy Auditorium. The keynote speaker was Prof. Dr. Md. Harun-Ur- Rashid Askari from Islamic University, Kushtia.
The seminar’s goal was to make people aware of the current scenario and opportunities of writing in English. Discussions in the seminar reveal that Bangladeshi writers’ popularity across the region has obtained the legacy of Bangladeshis' writing in English which has a long way to go.
Chairman of the Department of English, BUP,  Dr. Mohoshin Reza and Associate Professor Dr. Fahmida Haque were panel discussants in the seminar.
Respected Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Khondoker Mokaddem Hossain attended the session. The respected Dean of FASS Brigadier General Mohammad Shamsul Arefin, ndc, psc was also present and conveyed vote of thanks. Besides, chairmen of different departments, all the faculty members and students of the Department of English joined the session and made the seminar lively and engaging.
