In a strategic move to steer the MPhil and PhD programmes towards excellence, the Board of Advance Studies (BOAS) held at Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) on April 22, 2024. Held at the FASS Conference Room in the Academic Block, 12th Floor, the meeting brought together esteemed academic figures to finalise supervisory roles crucial for the success of budding researchers.

Chair by Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Khondoker Mokaddem Hossain, the assembly included the distinguished presence of Brigadier General Mohammad Shahiduzzaman Khan, Dean of the Centre for Higher Studies and Research (CHSR) and Captain Mahbubur Rashid, Director of CHSR. Notable all faculty dean enriched the discourse with their insights and expertise.

The session benefited from the invaluable guidance of subject experts such as Professor M. Anwar Hossen from the Department of Sociology at DU and Professor Mohammad Mushtuq Husain, former principal scientific officer and head of the Department of Medical and Social Science at IEDCR. Additionally, Professor Mohammad Zahedul Alam from the Department of Marketing at BUP and Associate Professor Md. Mohoshin Reza and Associate Professor Shamsunnahar Khanam, representing the Departments of English and Environmental Science, respectively, contributed significantly to the deliberations. With a focus on the meticulous selection of supervisors and co-supervisors, the BOAS meeting underscored the university's commitment to nurturing research talent and fostering academic excellence.
