On 17 and 18 October 2023, the BUP Development Leaders’ Club (BUP DLC) organized the fourth iteration of its nationally acclaimed flagship event, DEVTHON 4.0 in association with Beacon Pharmaceuticals PLC. It is an inter-university social competition that encapsulates four uniquely designed segments: DEVTALK, Development Trivia, Development Case Competition, and Development Expo. With the theme "From Vision to Action, Shaping Tomorrow." 

The Devtalk panelists were MD Abdul Quayyum, Head of Communications at UNDP, Bangladesh, Mrs. Harinee Desikan, Director of Recruitment & Selection at Teach for Bangladesh Fellowship Program, Mr. Shashish Shami Kamal, Assistant Professor in the Department of Development Studies, BUP and Md. Rafid Abrar Miah, Research Officer at Bangladesh Institute of International & Strategic Studies. 

65 teams participated in the development case competition. The esteemed judges of the development case competition were, Dr. SM Zulfiqar Ali, Research Director, BIDS; Dr. M Abu Yusuf, Professor, Department of Development Studies, University of Dhaka; Kazi Faisal Bin Seraj, Country Representative, The Asia Foundation and Tasmia Nahreen, Manager, MRM and Knowledge Management, Swisscontact.  The team 7^th Fleet became the 2^nd runners-up, the team Pencil Musketeers became the 1^st runners and the team Developmentally Challenged became the Champion of this esteemed segment. 

Development trivia, participated by students at different universities showcased a new dimension of quiz competition. Syeda Maliha Tasnim from Development Studies, BUP; Mashiat Rahman Rewnid from Development Studies, BUP and Zinnia Sultana from Economics, DU became the Champion, 1^st runners up and 2^nd runners up respectively.
