Biography

Priyanka Kundu is an Assistant Professor (on leave) of Mass Communication and Journalism at the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP). She is now pursuing her PhD in the Department of Communication at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). She received her Bachelor's (BSS) and Master’s (MSS) degrees from the University of Dhaka. Her research focuses on computational propaganda, political psychology, mis/disinformation, and the role of new technology on public opinion and political persuasion. In her academic career, she published several research articles and book chapters on freedom of expression and media laws, social media incivility, hip-hop music, and political protest in the context of Bangladesh.
