Biography

Al Jamal Mustafa Shindaini is an Associate Professor of the Department of Sociology at Bangladesh University of Professionals and a PhD research fellow of the Centre for Higher Studies and Research at BUP. He has completed his Bachelor of Social Science (BSS Hons) and Master of Social Science (MSS) from the University of Dhaka. He also did his MPhil from the University of Dhaka. In 12 years of his academic career, he taught at Bangladesh University of Professionals, Northern University Bangladesh, BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) and BangladeshUniversity of Business and Technologies (BUBT).  He has published over twenty-one peer-reviewed scientific articles in national and international journals(Springer, ELSEVIER, Emerald, Springer, Tylor and Francis and Scopus Indexed Journal) about Rohingya, COVID-19 and mental health, biogas, natural disasters, gender violence, climate change, feminist perspective and health. He is also a popular contributor as an academician in daily newspapers i.e. The Business Standard and The Daily Sun. Currently, he is working on disaster and women resilience, migration and diaspora, Juvenile Delinquency, stratification, and inequality, Rohingya crisis from a sociological perspective.
